Solid-State Lighting Research Recognized by Department of Energy

March 07, 2013: RTI was recently recognized with a research and development achievement award from the U.S. Department of Energy for its efforts to advance solid-state lighting technology.
RTI was cited for its work to develop reliability models and accelerated testing protocols for solid-state lighting luminaires made with energy efficient light emitting diode (LED) technology.
The research is led by Lynn Davis. Other key team members include Nick Baldasaro, James Bittle, Mike Lamvik, Karmann Mills, Sarah Shepherd and Bobby Yaga of the Engineering and Technology Unit; and Georgiy Bobashev and Eric Solano of Social, Statistical and Environmental Sciences.
